Can I backtrack on an accepted song request?
Once you’ve hit ‘accept,’ there’s no turning back within the app. But hey, you can always issue a refund from your Stripe dashboard or sort it out with the user in person.
What’s this ‘acceptance rate’ all about, and how can I boost mine?
Your acceptance rate is just the ratio of accepted requests to total requests. To pump up your rate, just accept more songs! Plus, it helps your crowd gauge how busy you are. Overflowing with requests? A low acceptance rate gives users a heads-up that you’re swamped.
Is there an upper limit for tipping?
Go big or go home—there’s no max on tips!
How does Emsi make bank?
For every song request that’s a hit, we charge a flat fee of $0.50 and take a 25% cut from the DJs and clubs. This covers those pesky payment fees and keeps our app humming along.
What is the QR code for and how does it work?
The QR code is your most efficient promotional tool! When users scan the QR code in the app, they will be sent directly to your Emsi profile and can request a song right away! For those who don’t have the app yet, the QR code will send them to the App Store or Play Store to download Emsi, and then they can scan the QR code again through the app to get directed to your profile!

How can users find my profile?
Users have two ways to find your profile. When you promote yourself via poster, business card, etc. users can scan your personalized QR code through the in-app scanner to be directed to your profile; Otherwise, users can find you by searching your DJ name, location, or event though the app’s search engine.
How can I cancel or stop receiving requests?
A very effective way to stop receiving requests is to considerably increase your minimum tip amount in your request settings. Once you do that, users will only be able to send in their song requests if they match or exceed your minimum tip amount.
How can I change my minimum tip amount?
You can change your minimum tip amount in accessing your request settings through your home section. You can also tap on the settings icon in the top right corner of the request section.
How can I change or edit the information on my profile?
To change or edit your profile info, you can access through the settings button within the home section.
How can I see my followers profile list?
Currently, you can only see your number of followers.But soon we will be adding that functionality. Keep building your network of followers and be sure to keep checking back for updates!
Where can I find my request history?
You can find your request history on your home section clicking the setting button.
What payment methods can users use to send a tip with their song request?

Can I accept cash tips from my clients?
Sorry, no cash payments within the app. We like to keep everything digital to enhance the Emsi experience!
What percentage of my tips do I get to keep?
You pocket 80% of your tips! Emsi takes a 20% cut to keep the tunes rolling and the app running smoothly. Remember, it’s free to download and use Emsi!
Oops, I forgot to play an accepted song request. What now?

Why were my song requests declined?
If you don’t get a response within 15 minutes, the request is auto-declined. So, keep an eye on that acceptance rate!
How does the money flow into my account?
Cha-ching! Your earnings land in your Stripe account as soon as a song request is accepted. From there, you can withdraw anytime or even set up auto-withdrawals. There’s also a nifty ‘withdraw’ button in the app under the wallet section!
Do I have to pay taxes on my Emsi earnings?
Taxes, am I right? They depend on your location. You’re responsible for understanding your tax obligations, but hey, Stripe’s got some tools that can help.
How do I transfer money to my bank account?
Easy peasy! There are various ways to transfer funds from your Stripe account. Plus, you can use the ‘withdraw’ button in your app wallet if you’ve set up your bank details in Stripe.
Why was my account restricted?
If you’re in the doghouse, it’s often because your Stripe account isn’t fully verified. Make sure to upload any required docs like ID and bank info to get back in action!
How should disputes between users and DJs/clubs be handled?
First off, try sorting it out face-to-face. Real-time resolution is the best! If that doesn’t work, our customer service is your next stop. Email us at [email protected], and we’ll dig into it.
Can I issue refunds to my customers?
Our terms say ‘no refunds,’ but if you goof up on an accepted song request, do the right thing and issue a refund via your Stripe dashboard.
How can I get more requests?
Use our templates to promote yourself at your venue! We have a template for your needs: posters, business cards, tv slides, etc. Make sure your crowd knows you can play their requested songs and the way to do it. Try decreasing your minimum tip amount! This will increase the amount of people willing to send a request.

Where can I use Emsi?
Upon launching, Emsi (English Version) will be available on 39 countries including the USA and Canada. On the meantime we will working our expansion to reach our more countries. If you are interested please contact us and we will let you know if our app is available in your country.
Can I use my own logo or design on the marketing templates?
You are free to use any design for your marketing templates, just be aware that if you change the texts and forget to mention about Emsi your customers may get confused downloading the app.
Can I upload my own song library?
Not yet! Emsi does not provide this functionality at this time. Be sure to keep checking back for future updates! If a user request you a song and you don’t have it you can always decline and choose the pre-established comment that match your reason.
